Dogs
Starting at 8:00am every morning, dogs will be let out, one at a time, into the backyard play area (see our Pictures page) for a bathroom break. As you may imagine, the dogs have a field day reading each others' messages in the yard! These breaks vary in length depending on the dog (some like to stay out, others whine at the door to be let in), as well as depending upon the state of their area. At times, a pet's area will need a complete clean down, which means they will have to stay out for a longer time. The dogs are also frequently fussed or played with while on a break. When being let out, all dogs are fed and given fresh water. An hour or two later, all dogs are let out in the same manner again for another bathroom break. During the weekdays, the dogs are let out after lunch. Finally, each day the dogs are all let out again in the evening for another bathroom break, and have the cleanliness of their areas re-checked on, are fed again (if they eat twice a day), and are given a full bowl of water for the night.
All dogs are let out, regardless of being in a cage or in a run!

Cats
Your cat may enjoy his stay in our separate kitty room. There are no dogs to bother your kitty and upset them while they are here. Your kitty may be able to get out and excerise for a while and enjoy a view out the window. They may sit and look out the window at the birds and squirrels flying and running around outside. It gives them a little bit of a stretch. They can be out of their cage for an hour or two depending on how many cats we have at the time. They are let out individually to play with the toys and kitty tents in the kitty room and enjoy the window view. You may bring your kitty's bed, or something it is familiar with so its stay is a more pleasant one.
